Cesarean Delivery

The surgical birth of an infant is known as a cesarean delivery, also known as a C-section or cesarean section. An incision is made in the mother’s womb, and another is made in the uterus. Where pregnancy conditions make conventional vaginal birth impossible or dangerous to the mother or fetus, a cesarean delivery is usually done. Dr. Sonali Gupta will advise you to have a Cesarean Delivery only if a natural delivery is not possible. Cesarean deliveries are often scheduled early in the pregnancy, but they are more often done as labor complications occur.

Reasons for cesarean delivery

  • There are behavioral issues with the infant.
  • The baby’s head is too large to go into the birth canal.
  • Complications in early pregnancy
  • Problems with the mother’s fitness, such as elevated blood pressure.

Doctor

At The Bliss Care IVF & Gyne Clinic, Best Gynaecologist in Greater Noida, Dr. Sonali Gupta can do all she can to avoid doing a cesarean section unless it is necessary which will cause complications for the infant or the mother. Your gynecologist will make an incision right above the pubic bone to expose the fetus and another incision in the uterus to remove the baby during a cesarean section. In the case of cesarean delivery, expect to spend between 2-3 days in the hospital. If the stapler is removed after 10 days and the stitches are dissolvable, there is no need to do so. It takes around 2-3 weeks for the body to fully recover.
