IUI Treatment

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) will help infertile couples improve their chances of becoming pregnant naturally. Infertility can be treated with intrauterine insemination, which is a surgical procedure. To facilitate fertilization, sperm is directly inserted into a woman’s uterus. It’s a technique for raising the amount of good sperm that makes it to the fallopian tubes.

When Can IUI Treatment Be Used?

In the cases mentioned below, IUI can be used as a fertility therapy.
• Unexplained infertility – IUI along with ovulation-inducing drugs is recommended for unexplained infertility.
• Infertility caused by endometriosis – if you have endometriosis, you will improve the odds of becoming pregnant by taking drugs to promote stable egg development and opting for IUI.

• Infertility caused by scarring or mucosal problems in the cervix – scarring or mucosal problems in the cervix may cause infertility. IUI works by bypassing the cervix and allowing sperm to penetrate the uterus directly, resulting in a higher amount of sperm available for fertilization.
• Donation sperm – IUI is a popular treatment for women who need to conceive using donor sperm.

Results

The output of IUI is determined by several variables. The effectiveness of the IUI treatment is influenced by your age, the origin of infertility, and the drugs you’re taking. Depending on other well-being conditions, the success rate varies from 10% to 20%. If IUI doesn’t work, your fertility doctor may prescribe IVF, which has a higher success rate.
