Operative Laparoscopy

Operative Laparoscopy

An Operative Laparoscopy is an operation in which the doctor examines the organs and tissue within your belly with a laparoscope and makes repairs to alleviate your symptoms. A laparoscope is a narrow tube with a lamp and a small camera that is used to examine the inside of the abdomen. Adhesions or endometriosis, one or more ovaries, and one or both fallopian tubes may be removed by the health care provider.
Your doctor will remove adhesions or endometriosis, either or both ovaries, one or both fallopian tubes, my appendix, and anything else he thinks is needed to cure my disease. A physician can make an incision in your tube and remove the pregnancy if you have a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy.

When it should be needed?

If you haven’t been able to conceive, are experiencing unexplained discomfort, or have abnormal bleeding, you might need a laparoscopy. There could be other treatments that may be used instead of this one; you can discuss these options with your healthcare provider.

Operative Laparoscopy Treatment

What are the advantages of this treatment?

This minor surgical procedure can aid your doctor in making a more precise diagnosis of the source of your symptoms. Pelvic adhesions or endometriosis are two possible causes. During the laparoscopy, the physician will be able to treat the underlying cause. Your hospital stay and recovery time will be much shorter than for more intensive procedures

Recuperation

Make arrangements for the post-surgery diagnosis and rehabilitation. Allow for rest and attempt to enlist the assistance of others to assist you with your daily tasks.
